**PRESS RELEASE** BTPD Investigating Pedestrian Motor Vehicle Collision on Sunset Road
**PRESS RELEASE -- October 22, 2021**

At approximately 7:30 PM on Saturday October 23rd, 2021, the Burlington Township Police Department responded to the area of 1005 Sunset Road for a pedestrian motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an 81-year-old male from Burlington, NJ was walking across Sunset Road when he was struck by a vehicle.
The male received significant injuries and was treated on the scene by police officers, Endeavor Emergency Squad members and Virtua Paramedics prior to being airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. He is currently listed in critical condition.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the male was struck by a black Toyota Camry while crossing Sunset Road. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. The driver remained on location and cooperated with the investigation.
This collision is still under investigation by members of the Burlington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Burlington Township Police Department Investigations Bureau.
