Flood Advisory until 09:00PM Monday

The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... Northwestern Eureka County in north central Nevada... Northeastern Lander County in north central Nevada... Northwestern Elko County in northeastern Nevada... Eastern Humboldt County in northwestern Nevada...

* Until 800 PM PDT Monday.

* At 1153 AM PDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected around Martin Creek. Between 0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen in parts of Northern Nevada.

* Some showers are tapering off in Humboldt County, but Martin Creek continues to trend higher and minor flooding will continue to be possible. Other locations where rain continues could also see minor flood conditions occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Winnemucca, Battle Mountain, Carlin, Midas, Tuscarora, Dunphy, Argenta, Valmy, Beowawe, Owyhee, Mountain City, Paradise Valley, Golconda, Charleston, Jarbidge, Willow Creek Reservoir, Midas Mine, North Area Mine, Wilson Reservoir and Chicken Creek Summit. Martin Creek is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. SMall streams where rain continues to fall may also experience minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ELKO, NV ... EUREKA, NV ... HUMBOLDT, NV ... LANDER, NV

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
