INCIDENT: ASSUALT ON A PEACE OFFICER/ ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON/ WILFUL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM/ MANUFACTURING AND /OR SELLING OF FIREARMS
LOCATION: 14000 Block of Oden Dr., Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Jason Kim, 28 years-old, Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 7:35 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 14000 block of Oden Dr., in the unincorporated area of Apple Valley, regarding a man with a gun.
According to the caller, the suspect, later identified as Jason Kim, was armed with a weapon and had ordered a female driver out of her car. Kim questioned the driver as to why she was near his property and then let her go.
Deputies arrived at the residence and immediately heard 20-25 rounds rapidly fired from the suspect’s house. Deputies contacted Kim, who was wearing body armor and carrying an AR style rifle. Kim was detained without further incident and a search warrant was authored for his residence. 16 guns, black powder, primers, and live ammunition were seized.
Jason Kim was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held in lieu of $275,000.00 bail.
