SUSPECT(S): Kenneth Sockwell, 63-year-old, resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Friday, October 22, 2021, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Apple Valley station were contacted by staff at the Academy for Academic Excellence (AAE) and advised of a discovered hidden camera on campus. The Apple Valley Station contacted the Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail and they conducted a joint investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, Kenneth Sockwell, a 63-year-old male resident of Apple Valley and staff member at AAE was identified as the suspect.
Sockwell was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for California Penal Code 311.11(a), Possession of Child Pornography.
