Investigators with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance with information regarding the recent shooting into a vehicle that occurred in the Ellenboro area.
On October 22, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the area of 74 bypass and the Race Path Church Road overpass.
The victim of the incident, was traveling east bound on 74 bypass towards Cleveland County. The victim stated that he heard a loud noise within the vehicle and thought a rock had hit his vehicle. He quickly realized after pulling over that it was not a rock, but a round fired from a firearm. The victim is unsure who may responsible for this action.
Deputies were able to locate shell casings on the Race Path Church Road overpass where it is believed the suspect shot from.
