Suspects Arrested for Residential Burglary; Believed to be Responsible for Over 20 Additional Chino Hills Burglaries



DATE/TIME: October 22, 2021 / 8:40 p.m.

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary / Conspiracy to Commit a Crime

LOCATION: 14000 block of Foxwood Road, Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Rodney Moore, 29-year-old resident of Long Beach / Trevon Thomas, 28-year-old resident of Los Angeles


SUMMARY: On Friday, October 22, 2021, at approximately 8:23 p.m., deputies were notified by a resident who observed an unknown subject run out of their neighbor's residence. Through investigation, detectives identified Rodney Moore and Trevon Thomas as suspects. Detectives identified Moore and Thomas' location. With the help of West Covina Police Department, a traffic stop was conducted and both suspects were detained for further investigation. Detectives determined Moore and Thomas were in possession of stolen property from the burglarized residence. 

On Saturday, October 23, 2021, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Specialized Enforcement Division served a search warrant at an apartment related to Thomas. Detectives located and recovered additional stolen jewelry and 41 designer handbags, which were believed to be stolen in residential burglaries. Moore and Thomas are believed to be responsible for more than 20 residential burglaries in Chino Hills. 

Moore and Thomas were arrested for residential burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. Moore and Thomas were transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
