Due to tonight's car show, Main Street will be closed between Reid Street and Jackson Street from approximately 4:30pm until approximately 9:30pm. Traffic travelling over the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge into South River from Sayreville will be detoured onto Reid Street. Traffic travelling the opposite direction on Main Street will be detoured at Jackson Street. In addition, parking restrictions will be in place leading up to the event. Please follow any posted no parking signs.

Tonight, October 27th, South River Municipal Alliance's "Cruisin' for a Cause" car show is taking place on Main Street in downtown South River. Join them from 5:00pm - 9:00pm for music, food, fun, and plenty of vehicles on display all while supporting a good cause for the South River community. The event is free to the public with food available for purchase. All downtown businesses will be open during the show. Please note - bicycles, scooters or skateboards are not permitted to be utilized at the show.

Interested in showing off your vehicle? All makes, models, years and styles are welcome. There is a registration fee of $10 per vehicle which can be paid when arriving the night of the show. There is no need to pre-register. Trophies will be awarded to the best vehicles!

Proceeds from this event help fund drug, alcohol, and violence awareness / prevention programs for the South River Community.
