UPDATE - The damaged section of water main was isolated around 2:55 p.m. and a small number of customers remain out of water while the repairs are being made. Crews will be on-site until repairs are completed, which is expected to be around 11:00 p.m. on the 10/27.

Due to the break and sudden change of water flow within the system, some customers may notice discolored water (rusty or tea-colored). The Utility advises that affected customers run water through a tub or utility sink faucet for approximately 15-20 minutes or until clear. If issues with water quality should persist, please contact the Utility for further instruction.

ORIGINAL NOTICE: A contractor working in the northeast section of Lake Geneva struck one of the Water Utility’s large diameter mains. Utility personnel are on-site to access the damage and mobilize crews to make repairs.

The Utility is aware that Customers in various portions of the City have experienced service disruptions and lower than normal water pressure.

We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you our staff is working to address the issue as quickly as possible.
