The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a

* Flood Watch the following area, Resurrection River and other small streams near Seward, AK

* From Friday afternoon through late Monday night.

* Heavy rain is forecast for Seward and surrounding areas with up to 8 inches expected from Friday through Monday morning. This has the potential to cause minor flooding along the Resurrection River and other small streams in the Seward area. The Resurrection River is expected to crest Sunday. Other small streams in the Seward area may see minor flooding.

* EXPECTED IMPACTS: It is possible that part of the runway at the Seward Airport will flood, particularly during high tide Saturday night and Sunday night.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WESTERN PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND
