On Sunday, October 24, 2021, at approximately 10:00 PM, the OPD Dispatch Center received a call reference shots heard in the 1500 block of west Holt Blvd. Shortly after receiving the call, the OPD air unit arrived on scene and located the suspect vehicle leaving the area. The air unit maintained surveillance as the vehicle proceeded into the city of Montclair. With the assistance of the air unit, Montclair PD units were able to find and stop the vehicle. OPD units responded to their location and assisted with taking the suspects into custody.
Three suspects were taken into custody and booked at the West Valley Detention Center. Javier Lopez, age 22 of Pomona, was booked on charges of negligent discharge of a firearm, possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and manufacturing an undetectable firearm. Julio Camargo, age 22 of La Verne, was booked on charges of negligent discharge of a firearm and accessory to a crime. Juan Dominguez, age 37 of Pomona, was booked on conspiracy to commit a crime.
Two handguns were located inside the vehicle. Shell casings were also located and recovered where the suspects were observed discharging the firearm.
