The Altamont Boy Scouts are holding a food drive to benefit the Altamont Community Food Pantry. Bring your non-perishable donations to the food pantry parking lot at 122 Grand Street, Altamont on Saturday, November 6th from 9 am – 1:30 pm. There will be no contact – just drive-up and drop-off, or pop the trunk and Scouts can take your donations. Returnable bottles and cans will also be accepted to benefit Altamont Troop 264.
All non-perishable, unexpired food will be accepted. Some examples of items needed include: canned vegetables & fruit, tuna, mac and cheese, pasta, soup, peanut butter, jelly, rice, beans, sauces, oatmeal, cereal, raisins, baking mixes, spices, salt, oil, flour, sugar, juice, dry milk, infant formula, baby food, diapers, wipes, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant and tissues.
