PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla. – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating after a shooting results in the death of one man. Just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021, the Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with a shooting near the intersection of County Road 4330 and Highway 147.
Shawn Blake Watts, 25, arrived at a residence on N. 4327 Lane, entered the home and began to assault the homeowner. During the ongoing assault, the homeowner retrieved a pistol and shot Watts. Watts was transported by private vehicle to Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers where he was pronounced deceased.
Another individual was with Watts at the time of the incident. That person was hit in the leg by gunfire, mediflighted to a hospital in Tulsa and treated and released.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. At the conclusion of the OSBI investigation, a report will be submitted to the District Attorney’s office for determination on whether charges should be filed.
