Please be advised, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Jekyll Island Authority will conduct a controlled burn on small patches of land located along Beachview Drive N., between the Holiday Inn and Tortuga Jacks.
Periodic road closures may occur during this time along Beachview Dr. N. between Captain Wylly Rd. and Shell Rd.
The burn does not pose any threat to nearby homes or structures.
All burn plans have been approved by Georgia Forestry and will be managed and monitored by the Jekyll Island Fire department and the JIA Conservation team.
