Campbell Police Officers Respond to a Shooting on Sunnyoaks Ave
Campbell, CA – On Tuesday, November 2, at approximately 10:45 AM, there were reports of shots fired and a man down in the roadway at the 300 block of Sunnyoaks Avenue in Campbell.
Campbell Police officers arriving on scene found a male suffering from at least one gunshot wound and immediately started preforming lifesaving efforts. The male was transported to Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. One witness provided a description of a male and vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. Responding officers were able to locate the vehicle at a residence on Juanita Way in Campbell where the suspect was arrested. There are no other individuals or suspects involved in this incident.
Out of an abundance of caution a shelter in place was issued for the residents in the area of Juanita Way. The shelter in place order has since been lifted and officers remain on scene for further investigation. The motive and details of this shooting are still under investigation.
