A McDowell County Grand Jury has indicted a couple on numerous counts of Embezzlement and Fraud.
On September 13, 2021, the Grand Jury indicted 52-year-old Del Jon Bristol Jr. of Vermilion, OH on 13 Counts of Embezzlement, 13 Counts of Felony Conversion and 13 Counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. His bond was set at $1,000,000; 48-year-old Serena Stamm Bristol of Vermilion, OH was indicted on 13 Counts of Embezzlement and 13 Counts of Felony Conversion. Her bond was set $1,000,000.
An extensive investigation by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, NC State Bureau of Investigations and District Attorney’s Office into the Bristol’s former business, World Outdoor Log Homes, led to the Indictments being issued. The Bristol’s are accused of cheating customers out of more than $2,000,000.
