In recent weeks, Morris County has seen an uptick in motor vehicle related thefts and burglaries.  Mountain Lakes is no stranger to this unfortunate trend. 

Mountain Lakes Police Department would like to remind everyone to take an active role in preventing the theft or burglary of your vehicles by ensuring proper precautions are taken, to include locking your vehicles and removing your key fobs.  Every instance of reported theft or burglary in our jurisdiction was due to an unlocked vehicle and/or the key fob being left inside.
