Detectives with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals for numerous drug offenses.
Drug Enforcement Detectives with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office arrested:
-44-year-old Jacob Edward Finley, address listed as Still Forest Drive in Marion, with Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep a Controlled Substance
-70-year-old Ossie Jay Finley Sr. of the same address with Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep a Controlled Substance. Both were set $50,000 secured bonds.
“These arrests come from an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of controlled substances from this area”, says Sheriff Ricky Buchanan. “Our Drug Enforcement Detectives, along with the community, deserve a lot of credit. I appreciate our detectives, along with Marion PD, State Bureau of Investigation, and our District Attorney’s office, for all their joint work and efforts” added Sheriff Buchanan.
On October 20, 2021, Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department and Agents with the NC State Bureau of Investigations executed a search warrant on the Still Forest Drive address.
Detectives seized suspected Methamphetamine and other controlled substances during the search.
