TURLOCK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT STABBED, SUSPECT ARRESTED BY SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER WITHIN MINUTES OF INCIDENT

On Friday, November 5, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Turlock Police Department received a call of a stabbing of a student at Turlock High School (THS), which stemmed from an altercation between two male juvenile students. The School Resource Officer (SRO) was notified of the emergency over the school radio.

As soon as the SRO learned where this incident occurred, she immediately responded to the area and was able to locate a juvenile male, who sustained a non-life threating injury to his hand, who was being attended to by a staff member. The SRO quickly determined that this was the stabbing suspect and immediately took him into custody without incident. The stabbing victim was brought to the office where he was given preliminary treatment for his injuries.
The male victim sustained multiple stab wounds. He was airlifted to a local area hospital, where he was provided treatment. The victim is currently in stable condition. The suspect was also transported to a local area hospital for treatment, via ambulance.
Turlock High School was placed on lockdown, which remained in place for approximately an hour and a half, while Officers and Detectives processed the scene, collected evidence and identified witnesses.
At this point in the investigation, the suspect will be facing charges of attempt homicide, and will be booked at the Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall.
