NARRATIVE:
On Friday, November 5, 2021; Officers from Pomona Police Department's, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) were in the area of White Ave and Grand Ave when they observed occupants in a vehicle that were unrestrained. Officers conducted an enforcement stop and the rear right passenger attempted to flee from the vehicle prior to it coming to a complete stop. The passenger, Danny Barquero eventually shut the door and remained in the vehicle. Once officers approached the vehicle, they observed a handgun on Barquero’s person. Barquero attempted to run from the vehicle but was quickly apprehended and the firearm was safely recovered. The firearm was loaded with a large capacity magazine. Barquero was placed under arrest and booked on firearms charges.
