SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Fatal tractor crash.
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 6:46 P.M.
LOCATION: Kimball Road near Blackmer Road, Ferris Township, Montcalm County.

Deputies responded to Kimball Road near Blackmer Road in Ferris Township at approximately 6:46 P.M. for a report of a John Deere tractor that had rolled over into a ditch.
The investigation found that the tractor, driven by a fifty-year-old man from Crystal, was travelling westbound on Kimball Road. The tractor got too close to the road edge causing it to slide down an embankment. The tractor rolled over pinning the driver underneath. The Crystal man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other known contributing factors to the crash.
Deputies were assisted by Crystal Township Fire, Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services, and Montcalm County Central Dispatch.
