The Jackson Police Department is still asking for the community's assistance in 18-year-old woman’s death.
Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are still asking for the community’s assistance regarding the homicide of Yasmine Humphrey, an 18-year-old woman.
On Monday, November 8, 2021 officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to the intersection of Lambuth Blvd. and Westwood Avenue where a vehicle had been shot multiple times.
Yasmine Humphrey was a back seat passenger in this vehicle and was fatally injured during the shooting. Three other adult occupants of the vehicle were unharmed.
During the course of this investigation, it was determined that the three male occupants have gang ties and are suspected of being targeted in the shooting. Investigators have been unable to establish a suspect or suspect vehicle from the murder.
The Jackson Police Department in urging anyone with information to please call and share information which could help in identifying the persons responsible for this murder.
