On Sunday, November 14, from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Caltrain will be conducting a simulated emergency exercise along the rail line at the Lawrence Caltrain Station in Sunnyvale. During the exercise, traffic will be controlled as emergency vehicles are expected to be entering and exiting the area. Parking in the area will be limited to accommodate emergency response vehicles to play out a simulated emergency.
Volunteer members of our Community Emergency Response Team will also be participating in this training exercise and will be onsite acting as injured or frightened passengers. Keep in mind, this is just a drill. Preparedness drills like these are intended to address unintentional acts as well as intentional events such as terrorism.
