We're Recruiting Fire Explorers (Student Volunteers Between the ages of 14-21)! Apply by Friday, November 26, 2021
The Fremont Fire Department is recruiting Fire Explorers!
In partnership with Learning for Life (an affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America), the Explorer program provides the opportunity for young women and men who live in Alameda County and are between the ages of 14 and 21 to explore a career in the fire service.
After the completion of an interview and physical agility test, Explorers will be required to complete an academy and participate in weekly evening meetings/trainings held at a Fremont Fire station. In addition to training and leadership development opportunities, Explorers will support various community engagement, fire prevention and operations initiatives.
If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming a member of Fremont Fire Explorer Post #173, please send an email to Program Coordinator Preston Mattos at [email protected]
The deadline to submit an email of interest is Friday, November 26, 2021. Interviews and a physical agility test will be scheduled after the recruitment period has closed.
