OSBI INVESTIGATING AFTER INMATE DIES IN OTTAWA COUNTY JAIL
OTTAWA COUNTY, Okla. – At the request of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating an in custody death in the Ottawa County Jail. On November 13, 2021, at approximately 5 p.m. detention staff were alerted by inmates that 38-year-old Michael W. Victor was having medical issues. Detention staff rendered aid and Victor was transported to Miami Integris Hospital. Victor died at the hospital.
Victor’s body was transported to the Oklahoma Office of the State Medical Examiner to determine his cause of death.
At this time, there is no additional information available to be released.
