County-Wide Crime Suppression Enforcement Results in Eleven Arrests and Numerous Citations Written

INCIDENT: Saturation and Proactive Enforcement Detail
LOCATION: City of Grand Terrace
SUMMARY: On Friday, November 12, 2021, between 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Central Station, conducted a saturation and proactive patrol in the city of Grand Terrace.
Deputies conducted proactive enforcement stops for traffic violations and DUI enforcement, and served due diligence arrest warrants. During the operation period, assigned personnel wrote traffic citations, made arrests, conducted safe driving education, and initiated investigations for violations such as DUI, and driving on a suspended/revoked driver license. In total, there were over 71 traffic stops and 23 arrest warrant services made resulting in the following:
- 51 citations (tickets) written
- 3 warrant arrests
- 4 arrests for DUI - Driving Under the Influence
- 4 arrests related to suspended/revoked driver licenses
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funds to assist with County-Wide Crime Suppression. The County-Wide Crime Suppression monies show the ongoing collaborative partnership between the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. The program provides additional funding to the Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues that affect the citizens in the County. The intent of the program is to reduce crime, increase safety, and improve the quality of life for the citizens of San Bernardino County.
