Green Bay Police and Fire False Alarm Management Program
The City of Green Bay has gone live with their new False Alarm Management Program on November 15, 2021. In an effort to reduce false alarms and increase the efficiency of the alarm permitting process within the City of Green Bay, we have collaborated with PM AM Corporation to implement and administer the False Alarm Reduction Program. The partnership will also provide educational training for our citizens on the alarm ordinance and permitting process. PM AM is a national company with expertise in this area and will be responsible for our alarm permit registrations, on line processing, false alarm billings and educational material.
As of November 15th a False Alarm Management System (FAMS) website has been established on the Green Bay Police Department website under the “Alarm Permits”. Detailed information can be found at https://www.cityalarmpermit.us/Pages/Home.html?CityId=70DgRPy8avU= For any questions reference the alarm permit processing please go to this website or contact a PM AM customer service representative at 1 800 874-8884.
This week our renewal notices have been mailed and sent electronically to previous permit holders. Please see the website as the processing can be done online unlike in past years. Also, please note the 1 800 number and address is from out of the area due to the corporation’s location. We have partnered with PM AM for this service to help provide a quicker and more efficient process for alarm permit holders.
The goal of the alarm ordinance and the City’s partnership with PM AM is to reduce the number of false alarm activations requiring a response by the Green Bay Police and Metro Fire Department. For current alarm permit holders there is nothing that will need to be done other than processing your renewal. All account and transaction history will be uploaded to the new system. As of November 15th, users will be able to visit the citizen web portal and they will be able to request a user name and password. Once the user validates their information, the system will email back their user name and password. For those citizens who are unable to complete the new account setup, you may contact PM AM at 1800 874-8884 and a customer service representative will be able to assist you.
