The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 11 PM MST Thursday.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 220...221...222 and 226.
* Winds...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* Timing...11 AM Thursday to 11 PM Thursday.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 5 percent.
* Temperatures...40s and 50s.
* Additional Information for the central mountain area...The strongest winds will occur on the eastern slopes of the Sawatch mountain range. The floor of the Upper Arkansas River valley will likely NOT see strong gusty winds.
* Additional Information for all of the mountain areas within the Red Flag Warning area...The winds in the mountains will have the potential to last well into the evening hours, and with VERY LOW humidity values, Red Flag conditions may last well into the evening hours.
