On 11/17/21 at approximately 1541 hours, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Dispatch received multiple 911 calls for a vehicle that crashed into an occupied building. Rohnert Park DPS units arrived on scene and observed a Gold GMC Yukon that crashed into 50 Professional Center Drive. The vehicle was occupied by a solo occupant who was still located in the driver seat of the vehicle. The building was occupied at the time of the incident and one employee of the business was injured. The employee was transported to Memorial Hospital by ambulance to receive medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was assisted from the vehicle by Rohnert Fire personnel and Sonoma Life Support personnel. The Driver was also transported to Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The driver, a 34 year old Rohnert Park resident, had suffered what is believed to be a medical emergency which caused the crash.
The building sustained moderate damage and was later released to the property owner.
