INCIDENT: Death Investigation
LOCATION: 13300 block of Napa Street, Fontana
DECEDENT: Jose Guerra, 32-year-old transient of Colton
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, deputies with the Sheriff’s Fontana Station were dispatched to the Burrtec West Valley Transfer Center in reference to a deceased male located by employees. Upon arrival, deputies found 32-year-old Jose Guerra deceased on a conveyor belt inside the facility.
Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation. At this time, it is believed Guerra arrived at the facility on a trash truck. The investigation into the cause and manner of his death is ongoing.
