M&H TAVERN SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED
On October 29, 2021, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Morgan Hill police officers responded to the M & H Tavern, located at 17365 Monterey Road, to investigate the report of an in-progress physical fight where an unknown male subject discharged a firearm. MHPD officers arrived on scene and determined there were no shooting victims on scene. The subsequent investigation led to the identification of Julian Tovar Gomez (31) from Gilroy as the suspect who discharged the firearm.
On November 17, 2021, officers from the Morgan Hill/Gilroy Regional SWAT team served an arrest and search warrant at an unincorporated address in north Gilroy. Julian Tovar Gomez was contacted and arrested on an Arrest Warrant for a violation of P.C. 246.3(A) - Willful discharge of a firearm in a negligent manner. Gomez later posted bail and was released from custody.
