On Friday November 19, 2021 Ramone Conneilies, a 27 year old Detroit resident, was arraigned and formally charged with the 2013 homicide of Altin Avdyli. Avdyli was the owner of the Royal Grill Diner located at 19840 Kelly Road in Harper Woods. On December 06, 2013 at the close of business, Avdyli was walking to his Chevy Camaro parked behind the diner. Avdyli was shot and killed and his Camro was stolen.
The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety conducted the investigation which led to the charges of:
Count 1-Homicide-Felony Murder
Count 2-Carjacking
Count 3-Felon in Possesison of a Firearm
Count 4-Felony Firearm
Count 5-Felony Firearm
Count 6-Felony Firearm
Conneilies was denied bond. Conneilies has a Preliminary Examination scheduled for Decmeber 08, 2021 at 1:30 in 32-A District Court.
