A Message From Chief Cantrell
Chief Cantrell, along with Solano and Yolo County Law Enforcement Administrators oppose the relocation of the Woodland Parole Unit proposed to move to Fairfield.
Fairfield currently responds to 380 homeless-related calls per month, managing 288 registered sex offenders, 43 of which are houseless. Woodland currently has a 400-person parolee caseload with 80 unhoused people and 30 sex registrants. Solano County Law Enforcement is concerned that current and future parolees could move to Fairfield and the significant negative impacts this could have on our community safety and our already overburdened policing, mental/behavioral health services, and housing options.
Thank you for your concerns. We are doing everything we can to prevent this move.
