LASD Transit Services Bureau Detectives Arrest Two Juveniles in Connection with an Attempted Murder

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Transit Services Bureau Deputies had received a call of possible shots heard at the Willowbrook C-Line Metro Station, at approximately 7:20 PM, on Friday, September 24, 2021.  Deputies quickly arrived at the location and found four persons suffering from gunshot wounds.  All four were transported to the hospital, and thankfully, all survived their injuries.  Deputies were able to get preliminary descriptions of the suspects but could not locate them at that time.

On Thursday, November 2, 2021, LASD Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Detectives served a search warrant at a residence on the 10500 block of Towne Avenue in the City of Los Angeles. As a result, they located one male, Hispanic, juvenile who was wanted in connection with a shooting at the Willowbrook Metro C-Line Station on September 24, 2021.

TSB Detective Johnson says that additional resources were employed to aid in the investigation.  “One of the great things about being the Nation’s largest Sheriff’s Department is having the additional resources to call on when the investigation warrants.
We worked together to identify and locate possible suspects and gathered intelligence to support our search warrant.” Detective Johnson says that after the male juvenile was taken into custody at the home, his brother, who was also identified as a suspect in the crime, was later brought into the Sheriff’s station by their mother to surrender.

The two juvenile suspects were apprehended and charged with Attempted Murder (664/187 PC) by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Additional charges may be pending.

TSB Detectives are still looking for a third suspect believed to have been associated with the crime.  The remaining suspect is urged to turn himself in.

The case remains under investigation.
