Full Notification

On 11/20/2021 at 4:38 A.M., officers of the Janesville Police Department were dispatched to a multi vehicle traffic crash.  During the investigation, it was determined that the driver was south on S Main St approaching Tyler St when he struck multiple parked vehicles.  No injuries were reported.  
 
The driver submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Based upon the investigation, the driver was arrested for OWI-5^th offense.  The driver was identified as David Hinkle.  A check of his driving history showed 4 prior alcohol related convictions.  Hinkle provided an evidentiary chemical sample of his blood for testing.  The results of that test are still pending.  Hinkle was later transported to the Rock County Jail pending an initial appearance.
