Death Investigation in Western Vigo County 
On November 21st approximately 3:25pm, Deputies from the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office were called to Darwin Road and Southlake road on an injured person. Once on scene Deputies located Jerry Giles 44 years of age, out of West Terre Haute IN, lying in the roadway with injuries. Rescue personnel were also on scene, but were unable to revive Giles. The Vigo County Coroner’s Office arrived on scene and later pronounced Giles deceased. Vigo County Sheriff’s Detectives were called to assist in the investigation, which is ongoing. At this time it appears Giles fell from a moving vehicle while traveling on Darwin Road. The Vigo County Coroner’s Office, Sugar Creek Fire, Honey Creek Fire Department, West Terre Haute Police Department, and the Indiana State Police assisted during this incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Giles family.
