Today at 3:40pm, Green Bay Police and Green Bay Metro Fire Dept. were dispatched to a structure fire in the 700 block of S. Ashland Av. The fire incident is still very active and will be for an extended period of time. North and Southbound lanes of S. Ashland Av between W. Mason St and 3rd St are completely shutdown at this time. Initial reports are no injuries and all occupants safely evacuated from the residence.
Police are asking motorists to avoid S. Ashland Av between W. Mason St and 3rd St. Alternate north and southbound routes are 12th Av and S. Oneida St. East and westbound traffic on W. Mason St is still open at this time as well as Hwy 172 and Lombardi Av. No further information is going to be released at this time.
