On Wednesday November 24, 2021 David William Gaval III, a 36 year old Saint Clair Shores resident, was arraigned and formally charged with:
Count 1: Homicide-Murder-Second Degree
Count 2: Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death
Count 3: Reckless Driving Causing Death
Count 4: Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Injury
Count 5: Reck Driving Causing Serious Impairment of a Body Function
Count 6: Operating While Inotxicated
Gaval III was also given a Fourth Offense Notice due to his prior felony convictions. Gaval's charges stem from a September 21, 2021 motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles which resulted in one fataility and two others being seriously injured. If convicted, Gaval III faces up to life in prison. Gaval has a Preliminary Examination date scheduled for December 08, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in 32-A District Court. Bond was set at $200,000.00 cash/surety.
