Felony OWI 4th Offense
On Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 12:16 am, a Middleton police officer observed a vehicle travelling without its headlamps activated while having difficulty maintaining its lane of travel. The officer initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle near Parmenter Street at Century Avenue in the City of Middleton.
The driver was identified as Stephen Mixer, 36 years old, of Middleton. Officers noticed an open intoxicant in the vehicle and smelled an odor of intoxicants coming from Mixer. Mixer submitted to field sobriety testing and was subsequently arrested for 4th offense operating while under the influence (OWI).
Mixer was transported to the Dane County Jail and booked on the tentative 4th OWI charge. In addition, Mixer was cited for operating after revocation of his driver’s license, and possession of open intoxicants.
