Parking   city ord. 10.22(4) 
Just a friendly reminder that winter parking regulations / alternate side parking in our residential areas starts Dec. 1st.  You can find the city ordinance by going to www.citywd.org, click the Ordinance tab on the left.

This rule is in effect from 1:00am--8:00am every day from Dec. 1st through March 31st.  If it's an 'even' date, park on the even side of the street in those hours.  If it's an odd date, park on the odd side of the street during those hours.   Also remember the months that end on 31...that's two odd days in a row.  

Following those simple rules allows our fantastic Public Works crew to plow the streets more effectively.  

Snow Removal-sidewalks  city ord 5.04(4) 
Commercial property--clear snow/ice w/in 24hrs after snow stops
All Other property--clear snow/ice w/in 48 hrs after snow stops

Courtesy Points:

• Try not to park where a sidewalk meets the curb.  It's hard to walk through snowbanks.
• No blocking driveways
• Brush ALL the snow off your windows (you see so much more)
• Please don't shovel / blow your snow onto someone's sidewalk / driveway or back into the street

Old Man Winter is headed this way.  Please take some time to be prepared.  Put an extra blanket in your car, fill your washer fluid, get your shovel ready, pick up a few handwarmers and don't forget to keep an extra carrot and a couple of pieces of coal for that first snowman.
