PAWNEE COUNTY, Okla. – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) arrested a 25-year-old father after authorities were called to a Pawnee home responding to reports of an injured two-month-old. Colten Thompson was taken into custody on Sunday night for Child Abuse. He is now facing one count of Murder in the First Degree and one count of Child Abuse.
The Pawnee Police Department received a 9-1-1 call at 1:15 a.m., on November 28, 2021 from the 700 block of Illinois Street in Pawnee reporting an unresponsive two-month-old. The baby boy was transported to Stillwater Medical Center and then flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. This morning at approximately 11:30 a.m., the baby died as a result of his injuries. The baby’s mother was not home when the baby sustained his injuries.
Thompson was booked into the Pawnee County Jail.
