Due to the upcoming  Holiday, there will be changes in many Borough services. Please be advised of the following changes.
 
Garbage & Recycling – Due to the Holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Friday, December 31, 2021. The entire town will be collected on Thursday, December 30^th.
 
Parking – Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules will be suspended on Friday, December 31^st. Overnight Parking rules will remain in effect.
 
Transportation – The Senior Bus and Medical Transport will be suspended on Friday, December 31^st. Services will resume on Monday, January 3^rd.
 
Road Closures – There are currently no holiday related road closures planned.
 
Borough Hall – The Borough Hall will be closing at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 30^th and will reopen Monday, January 3^rd. Borough Hall will not be open on Friday, December 31^st. Hours for Borough Hall are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays.  Those visiting Borough Hall will have their temperature checked upon entering the building and masks must be worn.  Employees interacting with visitors will follow a masking procedure.
 
Municipal Court – Court sessions continue to be held virtually.  However, the court offices have reopened to assist those who have business with the court.  The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. However, the office will be closed on Friday, December 31^st in observance of the holiday and will reopen on Monday, January 3^rd.
 
Library -- The William E. Dermody Free Public Library will be closed on Friday, December 31^st and Saturday, January 1^st .  and will reopen on Monday, January 3^rd. Hours for the Library are 10am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday; 10am to 5pm on Fridays; and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays. Masks and temperature scans are required of visitors.
 

 
Testing Center – The COVID-19 Testing Center at Sun Chemical will be OPEN on Sunday, January 2^nd.
 
Special Council Meeting – There will be a special meeting of the Borough Council on Saturday, January 1^st. A reorganization meeting will take place at 1:00 PM in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall, 500 Madison Street. Due to the close space and number of people expected to attend, masks are required.
