Power outage will extend into Thursday. 
We have been informed that the power outage will extend intoThursday. High voltage lines at City Park require special equipment that must be flown in. Therefore, the power from Heritage Harbor to the end of Zimovia Highway will not be restored until tomorrow.
If you reside in the affected area and are without heat, the City will be offering a temporary shelter facility through the duration of this outage at the Wrangell Nolan Center. If you or someone you know need a space for the night, please contact Dorianne at the Firehall. 907.874.3223
Additionally, shower facilities are available at the swimming pool between 3:30pm- 7:30pm today. This is being offered free of charge.
Arrowhead Transfer/AML has offered refrigeration and freezer vans for folks affected by the extended outage. If you have perishable food items they ask that you box the items and label them with your name and phone number. If you have, questions please contact 907.874.3314.
