On Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at approximately 1749 hours, the Readington Township Police were dispatched to Sorella's Pizzeria for a report of a female being assaulted. Upon police arrival, Hunter Lewis (27) out of the Whitehouse Motel was subdued behind the counter and taken into custody without incident. Lewis was charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal restraint, criminal trespass and lodged at the Warren County Jail. The filing of charges is merely one step in the proces. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law.
