SMPD Investigates A Shooting
San Mateo, CA- The San Mateo Police Department is actively and diligently investigating a shooting that occurred the evening of Thursday December 2, 2021. At approximately 9:54 p.m., SMPD patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Monte Diablo Avenue on the report of gunshots fired in the area. Upon arrival, SMPD launched an extensive investigation. During the investigation, officers located a 27-year old male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid before he was transported to a local trauma center.
SMPD is continuing the investigation and working vigorously to bring all responsible individuals to justice.
