Suez Water has issued a boil water advisory

, NJ December 3,2021  SUEZ ISSUES PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY NOTICE FOR LAMBERTVILLE RESIDENTS  SUEZ officials have issued a precautionary boil water advisory for Lambertville residents and businesses after two samples were taken tested positive for E.coliand coliform.Confirmation testing is being done in the area,we expect results on Saturday, December 4, 2021, and we will communicate the test results as soon as they are available. If the results confirm the presence of E. coli, an updated public notice will be issued. Tap water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute for the following: drinking, cooking or baking, preparing food, making ice cubes, taking medication, brushing teeth, washing food, washing vegetables and fruit, mixing food, mixing juices or drinks, mixing baby formula, feeding pets and all other consumption. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water .Residents should boil their water until further notice.E.coli are bacteria whose presence indicates that the water may be contaminated with human or animal wastes. Human pathogens in these wastes can cause short-term effects, such as diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other symptoms. They may pose a greater health risk for infants, young children, the elderly, and people with severely compromised immune systems. The symptoms above are not caused only by organisms in drinking water. If you experience any of these symptoms and they persist, you may want to seek medical advice. People at increased risk should seek advice from their healthcare providers about drinking the water. This precautionary advisory was issued following water test results.
