Pedestrian Struck and Killed on US Highway 395 in Hesperia

LOCATION: US Highway 395 and Three Flags Road, Hesperia
PARTY #1: Ramon Casioce, 35-year-old resident of Hesperia (Pedestrian/Deceased)
PARTY #2: Allen Foster, 47-year-old resident of Victorville (Driver of a 2013 Ram Truck)
SUMMARY: On Sunday, December 5, 2021, at about 5:40 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station along with rescue personnel from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the report of a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian at the intersection of US Highway 395 and Three Flags Road. Upon arrival, the pedestrian, identified as Ramon Casioce, was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
The Hesperia Station's Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Preliminary statements obtained along with scene evidence, indicated the pickup truck driven by Allen Foster was traveling south on US Highway 395 through the intersection of Three Flags Avenue. The traffic signal was green when Foster entered the intersection and Casioce was attempting to cross US Highway 395 from the Pilot Truck Stop toward the AM PM Gas Station.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision. The collision remains under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy D. Caudle from the Hesperia Station, (760) 947-1500.
