Winter Weather Advisory until 03:00PM Tuesday

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches.

* WHERE...Matanuska Valley.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 3 PM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow is expected to develop early Tuesday morning with the heaviest snowfall rates occurring during the Tuesday morning commute. The snow will begin as a wet snow, but will become more powdery through the duration of the event as temperatures drop. The wet snow will cause slick conditions in the morning and the powdery snow during the day will reduce visibilities in the wake of vehicles. The snow will taper to snow showers Tuesday afternoon.
