Jackson Police continue to investigate the shooting death of (31-year-old) Jeffery Pirtle.
At approximately 11:20 P.M. December 5th, Jackson Police responded to a call of a shooting at 452 Jackson Street were officers located an unresponsive black male suffering from gunshots. The gunshot victim was identified as Jeffery Pirtle. Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene to attempt first aid but determined the subject was deceased.
Jackson Police have arrested a sixteen-year-old black male juvenile in connection with the shooting and have charged him with Voluntary Manslaughter, Employing Firearm During Dangerous Felony, and Tampering with Evidence. The investigation into this subject’s death continues.
