TWO IN CUSTODY AFTER THREATENING TO SHOOT OCCUPANTS OF HARPER WOODS HIGH SCHOOL 
On Monday December 06, 2021 school staff at the Harper Woods High School received telephone threats of violence. The callers advised school staff that everyone should exit the school because they were coming up and shooting. School staff was able to obtain the number the suspects called from and immediately notified the Harper Woods Department of Public Safety.
Harper Woods Detectives were able to determine the calls were made utilizing a cellular phone application. With this information Detectives identified the address where the calls were made.
On Tuesday morning Harper Woods Detectives arrested two juvenile females responsible for making the threats. Both juveniles were placed in the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility and are expected to be charged tomorrow with making a false report of terrorism. Due to their juvenile status, the names of the suspects will not be released.
The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety works closely with the school districts within the City and maintains a zero tolerance policy for actions of this nature.
