On Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at approximately 0955 hours, the Readington Township Police were dispatched to School Rd. for a report of a vehicle that struck a mailbox and left the scene. Officers stopped Patricia Leeds (46) out of Asbury, NJ on Whitehouse Ave. and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Leeds was issued a motor vehicle summons for DWI, DWI within 1000 feet of a school property, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane and Failure to Report an Accident. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law.
